Easter

Easter was a lot of fun this year! We always start Easter on Saturday afternoon with a big Easter Egg Hunt at Aunt Judy's with all of our Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and anyone else who want's to show up. The kids get to find eggs filled with candy, and certificates for prizes and money! It was the highlight of Sawyers day that he got $3.00!

The hunt is always followed by a big potluck dinner, and then the kids get to dye their Easter Eggs. Sawyer only wanted blue eggs (because blue is his favorite color), but we were able to get some other colors out of him too! We had a lot of fun!

On Sunday morning, the boys both got their Easter baskets filled with goodies, and then we went off to church. (Sometimes the 9:00 time slot isn't easy-especially on a holiday!) After church Sawyer came home and hunted eggs in the backyard-and then we headed to my mom & dad's house for dinner. It was a perfect day, with the sunshine, and warm weather. We all headed out to the park after dinner where the boys got a baseball game going...needless to say, it ended rather quickly when my mom hit a pitch (by Sawyer) and the ball hit her in the face, resulting in a lot of swelling....and a nice black eye/cheek! All-in-all, it was a fabulous day!
