Today was a GREAT day! Jason was able to walk around the ICU unit, eat solid food, and he finally got some sleep. The doctor told us that it is very possible that he could be out of the ICU as early as Monday, and out of the hospital by Wednesday! He is scheduled to have another angiogram on Monday just to make sure everything is as it should be in his brain, and then they can move him up to the 7th floor where he can finally see the kids. This news has kept his spirit up and he is anxious to get home.

J,
this is the first I have heard of the situation. I feel like i got hit in the gut by a sledge! I sincerly hope that I am the only firefighter that didnt know and that the rest of the Union has been at your beckon call. Even if they have been, or even if they havent, I am yer huckleberry! anything that you need, just let me know. I'm sure it is a popo dream to have a firefighter at his beckon call.
Please concentrate on getting better! I will surely miss you and look forward to your return!
Meanwhile, I'll put you and your family into my regular conversations with God. I have it on good information that he occationally pays attention to my earnest requests. God be with you and please don't hesitate to call if you need anything.
Jason Nicholl
